Today is Constitution Day!
228 years ago today, our founding fathers signed into effect the Constitution of the United States. On September 17, 1787, leaders of our country met in Philadelphia to agree on a set of rules for our country.
Did you know? Over 11,000 amendments have been proposed since 1789, but only 27 amendments have been added.
Our students have enjoyed studying the Constitution today, and a group of 5th graders even rewrote the Preamble in their own words.

7 Habit Spotlight
Habit 6 - Synergize
Two second grade students, pictured below, decided to check out the same Junie B. Jones book. When asked why, they responded, "We want to synergize and read the book together!"
What a great display of leadership from our young learners!
